Wild & Scenic Rivers

In addition to the Rogue River, there are several suitable wild & scenic waterways in the Wild Rogue canyon. Kelsey, Whisky, Dulog, Big Windy, East Fork Windy, and Howard Creeks are generally roadless, free flowing and feed directly into the Wild & Scenic Rogue River. BLM has determined that Dulog Creek, Big Windy Creek, East Fork Windy Creek, and Howard Creek that have been found to be suitable for designation as a “wild” classified stream segment under the Wild & Scenic Rivers Act.31  BLM say they manage these four stream segments as if they were designated Wild & Scenic by protecting their outstandingly remarkable values and maintaining and enhancing the natural integrity of river-related values.
