Wyden and Merkley Introduce Wild Rogue Bill in 113th Congress
It’s a new year and a new Congress and we are happy to announce that Senators Wyden and Merkley just introduced the Wild Rogue legislation to protect one of the wildest stretches of the lower Rogue River. We want to thank you all for supporting this effort and helping achieve an early introduction in the 113th Congress.
It is a long process for a bill to become a law. Every two years when a new congressional session begins any bill that was not passed into law must start from scratch. The Wild Rogue bill must now navigate through a number of different legislative steps. While this may sound daunting, this is the process every bill goes through.
With the early introduction of Wild Rogue legislation we are better positioned in this congress than we have ever been before. We are hopeful that the 113th Congress will make these important protections the law. Now is the time to advocate for this special place.
With your help and continued support we will work to protect this special river.
